FAQs

Attendance and timekeeping

For KS1, school starts at 8.50 am each day and all pupils will be ready to pick up in the afternoon at 3:10pm.

For KS2, we start at 8.45am and finish at 3.15pm.

Don’t panic :). Just bring them in through the main front entrance and they can sign in at the office.

Just contact the office and we will do what we can to help until you can arrange a collection.

Our school ‘pick up’ procedure requests that parents and carers notify the school in advance as to which adult/s will generally collect their child. This information will be collected at the beginning of each year and where possible, photographs of adults can be sent to school to support this handover.

We also ask you to confirm if there are adults who should not collect your child.

We understand that there may be times where a different adult may need to collect your child. If this is the case you must contact the school office to inform us as soon as possible.

If there is any doubt as to who is picking up, we will always contact parents.

We will not allow older siblings under the age of 18 years old to collect a child.

Please contact the school office to explain the situation.

Check the term dates from our website.

Term Dates

Please try to arrange holidays out of term time.
You can obtain a holiday request form from the office.

We will do our best to inform you as soon as possible about any school closures. We will use Parentmail and our school website to keep you updated. Sometimes information regarding closures is also relayed through local radio stations.

Drinking water is also available in every classroom.

We suggest that you try to provide a balanced and nutritious lunch – include fruit/veg, sandwich/wrap etc.
Talking to your child about what goes into the lunchbox each day is also beneficial so that you have had agreement in what is going to be eaten.

Usually, yes.
We would need to be mindful of any dietary requirements/allergies of the class and school before agreeing.
Please chat with the class teacher about it.
