Welcome to Pegasus Class!

This year, Pegasus is a mixed Y2/3 class full of enthusiastic children.  In Pegasus Class we focus a lot on developing independent learning skills and being ready for the task in hand in order to perform it to the best of our ability.  Children are encouraged to learn in a variety of ways: independently, in pairs or small groups or, of course, as a whole class.  This will involve discussions and exploration of ideas, whilst being supportive of each other. 

We always strive to make the topics for our learning engaging and having fun at the same time.  So far this year our topics have included Taking Flight (focusing on Amelia Earhart) and James and the giant peach (focusing on drawing in the style of Quentin Blake).  Other topics will include China, Norse Mythology and the local environment with a focus on canals .

This year Pegasus Class is a mixed keystage class and therefore this year’s curriculum will be independent of our usual 2 year rolling programme, providing challenging learning opportunities.
